Britain's Unemployment Rate Drops to 7-Year Low
A year ago, the unemployment rate in Britain was approximately 6%. In 2015, the unemployment rate fell to 5.6% between April and June and fell even further to 5.3% between July and September according to the Office of National Statistics. The current unemployment rate is the lowest the country has experienced in over 7 years. The director of The Jobs Economist claims that this drop in unemployment is largely due to an increase in the number of part-time jobs available.
