British Airways strike: Airline says no flights will be cancelled due to cabin crew walkout
British Airways has declared that it will not be cancelling flights over both Christmas Day and Boxing Day, despite the striking of its cabin crews. The airline has spent the majority of the weekend constructing contingency plans to operate on a full schedule over the holidays. The crew members are part of British Airways' Mixed Fleet and are being represented by Unite. The Mixed Fleet crew members are striking against their wages and working conditions, which they argue are much worse than the full-time crew members. The airline's chief executive, Alex Cruz, has stated that the company is open to bettering the Mixed Fleet's packages and hope for positive dialogues.
