British Airways union Unite to call new strike vote
After the British High Court ruled that Unite, the union that represents the cabin crew of British Airways, could not call a strike because some of the workers had already agreed to leave the airline., Unite announced that it would move towards calling another ballot to strike, this time without the ineligible members. The union also said that it did not rule out an appeal against the court's injunction. Unite and British Airways are continuing talks to resolve their issues, centering around wage freezes and schedule changes that violate their contract. A strike over the holidays was estimated to cost British Airways millions of dollars.
