Brussels: Cut Foreign Worker Red Tape
A new report by the European Commission is set to be presented in Brussels next week criticizing EU member states for using heavy control measures which make it more difficult for foreign firms to send employees abroad. The report cites harsh regulations and red tape placed on the firms by host countries as part of a broader effort to restrict access to labor markets. The host countries counter that such measures are necessary to fight illegal immigration and undeclared labor.
