Burundi doctors withdraw emergency services
Doctors in Burundi have been on strike since March. Now, doctors have taken the work-stoppage one step further and halted all emergency services as well. The group is demanding a 900% pay increase. Unions rejected a government offer for a 150% increase. The withdrawal of emergency services came after the government allegedly rejected a plan proposed by mediators.
