Bus drivers, clerks, workers who interact with public fear exposure to coronavirus
On Wednesday, King County in Washington State began advising companies to let employees work remotely to reduce the risk of workplace transmission of the virus. However, for certain occupations that heavily interact with the public, such as transit and delivery drivers, airport security workers, retail clerks and flight attendants remote work is not an option. The COVID-19 crisis has also raised questions over the way a company’s policy on COVID-19 will adhere with state and local labor laws.
