Bush aims economic message at millions of jobless workers
On Thursday President Bush unveiled a plan to stimulate the economy in an attempt to address the concerns of millions of jobless Americans. Although most of the initiatives in Bush's plan have been previously introduced, the proposal marks a shift from focusing on business concerns to improving the conditions of workers. Bush is most likely feeling pressure from polls that indicate concern about the economy and criticisms of his handling of the recession are intensifying.
