Bush makes economic pitch in Ohio
This Labor Day President Bush traveled to Richfield, Ohio to make a speech to the International Union of Operating Engineers. Bush defended his administration?s tax cuts, saying they were necessary to stimulate the economy. Bush also pledged his commitment to creating more jobs. This speech marks an attempt by Bush to win some support from organized labor, long affiliated with the Democratic Party.
