BUSINESS SURVEY: Firms struggling to find skilled workers
The National Association for Business Economics, which polled 103 corporate planners and financial analysts, said Monday that more than a third of them reported their companies had difficulty hiring skilled workers. This suggests that the labor market is improving steadily despite the erratic pace of job creation over the last year. Over the last year, the proportion of respondents reporting such shortages has risen 10 percentage points, to 35 percent.
