Businesses re-think how they measure white collar worker productivity
Amidst remote and hybrid work, employers have been searching for ways to better measure the productivity of their workers. Unlike the archaic conceptions of productivity as championed by Adam Smith and Frederick Taylor though, productivity today looks different. White collar offices should be focusing their productivity metrics on outcomes rather than outputs. This is because quantity and increased output do not necessarily necessitate the businesses' desired goals and outcomes.
