California governor signs new law, making union voting more accessible for farm workers
On Wednesday, Governor Newsom of California signed legislation that will make union voting more accessible amongst farm workers. This new law is considered a major win for the labor movement. While Newsom had previously vetoed this bill, there was broad support this time around from national Democrats, including President Biden, as well as greater public attention from the farmworkers' march that took place this past August.
