California signs a first of its kind legislation to protect warehouse workers
California’s Governor has signed a bill limiting warehouse employers from setting productivity quotas. The bill will ensure that workers are not fired or retaliated against when they do not meet quotas and will require the companies to disclose any productivity quotas to government agencies and their employees. Governor Newsom said of signing the bill, “We cannot allow corporations to put profit over people.”
