Cameron Vows Fines for Employers in Britain Ignoring ‘Living Wage’
Beginning in April of 2016, the minimum wage in Britain will increase to 7.20 euros for employees over the age of 26. David Cameron, the Prime Minister of Britain, announced that companies who fail to pay their employees the national minimum wage will be subject to large fines. These fines could amount to as much as 200% of the unpaid wages. Germany has also begun to implement more severe fines for companies that violate minimum wage laws.
