Cameron's champagne drinking draws anger of U.K. labor unions
Conservative politician David Cameron came under fire from union members yesterday for prematurely celebrating a Conservative election victory and toasting a labor proposal that had not yet been made. Cameron was photographed with a glass of champagne the night before the Conservative party announced their proposal to freeze wages for government employees. Union leaders were annoyed both that Cameron was celebrating an election he hadn't won yet, and that Cameron indulged in luxury as he proposed sweeping wage freezes. Unison general secretary Dave Prentis said "Champagne for Cameron and his crew, as though the recession never happened, while millions face a thirsty future with frozen pay, job and pension cuts."
