China Looms as the World's Next Leading Auto Exporter
China may soon become the leading auto exporter in the world. The Chinese government is pushing auto assembly plants as well as auto parts plants to export. Sizeable numbers of fully assembled cars are already being exported from China to South America, Africa and the Middle East while significant numbers of auto exports to Europe and the U.S. are being projected as soon as 2008.
