China probing blast at Apple supplier factory in Shanghai, urging improved safety
After dozens of people were injured in a factory explosion in Shanghai, the Chinese government is investigating the incident and has ordered safety checks at the factory. The factory is owned by an Apple subsidiary, and the company says that they are working to find out what happened. The explosion is said to have occurred when aluminum dust from iPad cases caught fire. Apple has drawn criticism for its lack of safety procedures in China. Earlier this year three people died in a similar explosion at another Apple plant, owned by Foxconn.
