Chinese Workers at State-Owned Machinery Plant Protest
In the past, workers in China have taken less industrial action than other countries because of the strict labor laws in China. Now, over 10,000 workers have gone on strike over potential layoffs and low wages. The company will plan to layoff as many as 5,000 workers and only pay retirees $60 a month.
