Clashes Erupt on Second Day of Bangladesh Strike
At least 50 people were injured in the Bangladeshi capital on Wednesday as opposition activists fought pitched battles with police on the second day of a two-day strike to press for electoral reforms. The clashes in Dhaka erupted after police fired tear gas and used batons to stop activists gathering in the streets to enforce the strike called by a 14-party opposition alliance.
