Classification Issues Lead to Missing Green Energy Jobs

The state has seen employment opportunities grow due to its commitment to renewable energy technology. However, quantitative data on how much the legislation has generated economic growth is difficult to find. Sources for labor data, such as the US Bureau of Labor Statistics, struggle to capture accurate labor data in the renewable energy industry due to difficulty classifying renewable energy jobs using the North American Industry Classification System.
