College Athletes Take Labor Cause to Capitol Hill
The former Northwestern University quarterback, Kain Colter, traveled to Washington D.C. to speak with members of Congress in advance of a Northwestern appeals the Chicago Regional Labor Relations Board. Ramogi Huma of the National College Players Association said that the trip by the football player is important because the lawmakers should hear the story directly, but the NCAA says that his concerns are ?unwarranted?. Neither the Secretary of Education, Arne Duncan, nor the White House have commented on the ruling. If the University does file a review of the decision, it must do so before April 9th.
