Columbia Grad Workers Set to Strike, As Admin Refuses to Bargain
Colombia graduate students are ready to strike if the university does not agree to bargain with their union by the end of the day. The student-workers are represented by the Auto Workers Local 2110. Ninety-three percent of members voted in favor of a strike during an election held earlier this month. They strike is set to last until classes end on April 30th, just days before the start of final exams on May 4th. The university has not shown any signs of wavering from their anti-union stance.
