Companies Challenge Labor Rulings
After the January ruling by a federal appeals court that President Obama's recess appointments to the National Labor Relations Board were unconstitutional, companies are asking that rulings the Board made by voided or blocked. Companies say that any rulings the Board made during that time are invalid and should not have an effect on them. If the appeals court ruling stands, dozens of decisions, including one that effect Starbucks, McDonald's, Pepsi and other companies will have to be reconsidered by a new Board. The Board has said that they believe the recess appointments were legal and will be upheld.
