Companies Get Weapon in Injury Suits
Evidence that thousands of people who have said they were injured by exposure to asbestos or silica are making duplicate injury claims, gives credibility to employers' contention that they are victims of fraud. It is expected that this evidence will be used by companies to ask for greater protection from injury-related lawsuits. However, labor advocates worry about the effect that this will have on people filing legitimate cases.
