Companies plan to transition away from remote work after Labor Day and expect workers in the office again
Since the pandemic, the shift to remote work has altered workplace norms and continues to persist in 2022 with many workers still having the option to work remotely at least once a week. This has caused increased work flexibility and work-life balance that has benefited many employees. However, there have also been consequences that have negatively impacted job effectiveness such as burnout and miscommunication. Large companies like Apple are now looking to address these issues by bringing workers back into the office after Labor Day. These policies to bring workers back in-person are not without resistance by employees who seek to continue remote work.
