Construction workers strike in Dubai as labour tensions rise
Thousands of construction workers have gone on strike in Dubai. The workers are asking for increases in salary and better working conditions. Workers refused to leave the labor camps on Sunday, beginning a strike that is considered illegal in the United Arab Emirates. The government has introduced some reforms to laws to minimize exploitation of migrant workers after facing criticism from rights groups.
