Coronavirus and labor protections
The coronavirus outbreak has prompted the closure of universities and offices, as well as necessitating other drastic containment measures. While some workers are able to self-quarantine while working at home, many blue-collar workers are expected to continue coming to work. Other workers may lose wages or be asked to enact additional safety measures as a result of the outbreak. Fortunately, there are a number of labor protections depending on the state that workers reside in. Workers should familiarize themselves with labors rights protected by their state and utilize them as needed.
