The Coronavirus outbreak has caused major economic impacts. Major companies such as Apple and Nvidia have reported underwhelming earnings in recent quarters due to the outbreak. These economic impacts are in part related to disruption in demand for goods due to quarantines and travel restrictions. However, supply-side disruptions such as staff productivity losses, supply-chain dysfunction, and facility closures have also caused significant economic distress. As Start-up companies are especially vulnerable to supply-side disruptions, this outbreak will test them.
