Coronavirus pandemic threatens public-sector jobs
The coronavirus pandemic has led to massive job losses with new studies showing all sectors have been impacted. In the first few weeks of stay-home orders job losses were predominantly seen in construction and service work. Now, it appears that white-collar and public sector workers are experiencing lay-offs, as well. In one Denver suburb, for example, more than 200 public-sector workers lost their jobs in mid-April.
