Coronavirus sheds light on who cannot work from home
According to the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention an estimated 80 people in the United States have been confirmed to have coronavirus. The CDC has recommended that those residing in the U.S. take a number of precautions, including working from home. This recommendation has drawn attention to the social divide between those who can and cannot work from home. Staying home is not an option for many workers even if their companies have the technology to allow them to complete their tasks outside of the office. Additionally, around 90 percent of workers go to work when they are sick.
