Court rules in favor of United Airlines’ unpaid leave policy
U.S. District Judge Mark T. Pittman denied blocking United Airline’s vaccine mandate policy that puts religiously or medically exempt employees on unpaid leave. The judge expressed his displeasure with United’s policy but made clear that it does not demonstrate irreparable harm. United says that they will identify less customer facing roles for their unvaccinated workers and they will review COVID-19 case rates every 30 days to determine when their unvaccinated employees can resume their work.
