Crowds descend as Ohio debates union overhaul
As in Wisconsin, Ohio workers are battling for their own collective bargaining rights, against a proposed bill that would abolish collective bargaining rights for state workers and restrict rights for other workers. The workers there say that they do not believe that getting rid of collective bargaining is the right way, or the only way that the Governor can balance the budget. The former governor who was defeated in November, spoke out in support of the workers, saying that the bill was an attack on the workers, who took furloughs and wages freezes during his administration.
