Crown Post Office staff stage second 24-hour strike
Over 3,000 post office workers in the United Kingdom began striking this morning, forcing 80 branches to close. Both the Communication Workers Union and Unite represent the postal workers and staged a previous strike on September 15th. The unions are protesting the Post Office’s planned transfers and cost cuts, which would result in 2,000 layoffs and end the workers’ pension plan.
