Crown post office workers prepare for strike
Employees of the Crown post office staged a UK-wide walk out on Saturday. As many as 4000 members of the Communication Workers Union across locations in England, Wales, and Northern Ireland participated in the protest. The strike action was inspired by management's plans to close or franchise more than 70 Crown offices. Representatives from the union say that the closures will result in poorer levels of customer service in addition to job cuts.
