Culinary workers reach deals with Fremont, Main Street
Boyd Gaming has reached new contracts at two of its casinos with both the Culinary Workers Local 226 and the Bartenders Local 165. The 5-year contracts will cover the Freemont Hotel & Casino and the Main Street Station casino. Although details have not yet been released, the agreement is a positive sign since the unions had authorized a strike across ten locations if new contracts were not reached by the June 1 deadline. The Culinary Union applauded Boyd for showing respect during negotiations and being willing to invest in its workers.
