D.C. schools are cracking down on employees who have not reported their vaccination status
Employees at D.C. area schools are facing repercussions after failing to comply with coronavirus vaccine deadlines. Policies and requirements are varied among school districts, but most schools are requiring unvaccinated staffers to test negative for COVID-19 each week and all are requiring employees to report their vaccination status. Many schools are placing their staffers on leave, firing them, or following a progressive discipline policy for non-compliance. At Maryland’s largest school district, over 460 employees are receiving a letter of reprimand and will lose a day’s worth of pay for failing to report their vaccine status.
