Daley plans ex-convict training, then jobs
Mayor Richard Daley announced plans for the Transitional Employment Program, which would provide ex-convicts with job training and placement. If the plan is approved, it would give jobs and assistance to 20 recent ex-convicts who would immediately enter jobs with their pay being subsidized by the program. The goal of the program is to provide ex-convicts with the necessary job skills to eventually find full-time unsubsidized employment.
