Darden won't change staffing to cut health care costs
On Thursday, restaurant company Darden announced that it will not be changing full-time staffing hours due to health care reforms. The company, which owns chains like Olive Garden and Red Lobster, had tested cutting employee hours to keep down costs. The company also lowered it financial expectations for the year, and cited the negative publicity over the potential health care change as a reason for some lost profits.
