Deal with Delphi not expected by deadline, UAW official says
The United Auto Workers do not expect to reach a deal with Delphi Corp. by the end of March, when the bankrupt auto-parts maker has threatened to ask a judge to void labor contracts, a union official said Wednesday. The UAW is now discussing early-retirement incentives that could be offered to workers at both Delphi and GM, in addition to several other issues still on the table.
