Dealership group accuses striking workers of labor law violation
Several car dealerships in Chicago this week broke away from a bargaining group that has been negotiating with striking mechanics. In a charge filed with the NLRB on Tuesday, the union has been accused of illegally trying to reach separate agreements with individual dealerships, which the dealerships group claims violates labor law. Nearly 140-new car dealerships have been involved in the negotiations with mechanics, and more than half a dozen settling individually.
