Deere says they will not continue bargaining discussions
Deere & Company says that the second contract proposal that striking workers voted down was their best and final offer. A senior Deere official said that the agreement held an investment of an additional $3.5 billion in their employees and by extension their communities and they have no plans to resume bargaining. A spokesperson for the UAW has only said that the union's negotiating team was continuing to discuss next steps.
