Defense Workers Pressured to Defy Virus and Keep Making Weapons
The Pentagon is confronting some workers with a difficult ultimatum to keep working and risk further spreading COVID-19 or stay home and be faulted for delaying national security priorities. The Defense Department and several companies that heavily support it have enforced strict, unwavering policies even after some employees have tested positive for COVID-19. Many influential politicians are working with the Defense Industry to change their policies to more worker-centered policies.
