Delphi Says Court Can Reject Labor Deals
Auto parts supplier Delphi Corp. on Monday gave a federal bankruptcy court the authority to immediately cancel its labor agreements, an action that could lead to a devastating strike. Delphi filed a motion March 31 asking a bankruptcy judge to give it the authority to cancel its union contracts if it failed to reach an agreement to lower wages.
