Delta Air's Fleet-Service Workers Turn Down Union
Delta baggage and cargo handlers rejected a union by a vote of 5.569 to 5,024. The vote was the seventh for Delta, all of which were rejected by workers. The International Association of Machinists and Aerospace Workers, who was seeking to represent the baggage and cargo handlers says that it was investigating claims of illegal action. A representative for Delta said that the claims were false, and entirely due to the union losing the vote. Delta also said that the results show the workers' commitment to Delta's culture. Flight attendants rejected a union in their vote on November 13.
