Despite low unemployment rates, Australian businesses fear staffing shortages in the upcoming year
In Australia, there is an extremely tight labor market currently, which has been perceived differently amongst businesses than by the government. The Federal Labor in Australia has boasted about the low unemployment rates and gains in job creation. However, a recent survey has indicated that business owners are expecting staff shortages this year, especially in higher-skill jobs. Businesses are also concerned about continuous inflationary pressures perpetuating increased business costs.
