Detroit Three Show Interest in UAW Healthcare Overhaul Idea
The United Auto Workers have proposed that Ford, General Motors, and Fiat Chrysler combine their healthcare systems, which would give the companies' more bargaining power when negotiating with healthcare providers. This new cooperative healthcare system would apply to 142,000 employees of the three companies and would dramatically cut spending. The companies have until September 14th to negotiate.
