Disney World unions end feud
The Teamsters Local 385, one of the six unions that comprise the Service Trades Council, filed unfair labor practice charges with the National Labor Relations Board against the council and Disney on Friday for not including them in negotiations over a new employment contract for more than 20,000 theme park and hotel workers. To resolve the dispute all six union heads and Disney met on Monday to re-discuss the tentative agreement that was made at the prior meeting, which the Teamsters and HERE Local 362 voted against. Contract approval is now left in the hands of workers.
