Disney World workers vote today on contract proposal
Disney workers are set to vote on a new contract today, after voting down the company?s prior offer last week. Union leaders from the Hotel Employees and Restaurant Employees Local 362 and the Teamsters Local 385 are encouraging workers to vote down the contract again, arguing that proposed wage increases will not cover increases in healthcare premiums. Leaders of four other unions involved in the dispute are urging their members to accept the contract which they feel represents the best deal possible.
