Dispute over guest-worker program puts immigration talks at risk of delay
A dispute over how a new guest-worker program should work is stalling the progress of immigration reform in Congress. Some want to give up to 400,000 visas to low wage workers a year, while others want fewer workers with higher pay. Despite the disagreement, legislators say that they are on track to complete the legislation. There are also questions around visas for high-tech workers and family visas.
