Double strike in Hollywood postpones Emmy Awards
The Emmy Awards that were set to occur in September have been postponed to January 2024. The awards show will be delayed because of the double strike in Hollywood that has halted almost all film and television productions. Writers and actors continue to strike in protest of low wages, employee rights and benefits, and the use of AI in the entertainment industry. The last time the Emmy Awards show was delayed was after the 9/11 attacks, and the Emmys took place in November instead of September.
