Driver?s License Suspensions Create Cycle of Debt
In certain states, an individual's drivers license can be suspended if that person has a significant amount of outstanding debt. In Tennessee, more than 90,000 drivers licenses have been suspended in the last four years alone. A majority of the people who have lost their licenses live in rural areas and have no access to public transportation.
